Past Productions

mastheadReunion: A Musical Epic in Miniature was originally written for a cast of five and, under the title Battle Cry of Freedom, grew to a cast of six and a full production at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Lyme, Connecticut in 1996. The director was noted Broadway actor Ron Holgate, winner of a Tony Award for his performance in the original cast of 1776.

After its successful premiere at Goodspeed, the show was retitled and had a run off-Broadway in 1999, with an original cast recording. This was followed by a production at Washington’s Ford’s Theatre in 2000, generating rave reviews and nearly $1.5 million in ticket sales.

After the prestigious Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum opened in Springfield, Illinois, Reunion was the first outside play mounted in its Union Theatre.

Since then, it has been performed by regional and community theatres around the country, and the script and score are published by Samuel French, Inc., who also arrange performing licenses.
